How do we determine what is the best use of our time? We know amid the mundaneness of our days, the work the Lord has given us in our homes matters for eternity. God has a purpose in all things. There is no secular work in Christ; all is sacred.
As homemakers, we desire to be productive and accomplish much in the time we’re given. It feels good when we check those tasks off our to-do lists and then the reality hits that most of them are back on it again tomorrow. It’s hard sometimes to determine how to prioritize our days and feel like we are getting things done.
How do we determine what to do next? I’ve quoted Elisabeth Elliot’s words to you often of “Do the Next Thing,” but what is the next best thing to do? How do we determine we are using our time wisely?

Marcee, I’m thrilled to have found your website/ podcast and resources ministry to women. You and I are like minded and have read many of the same books and are in the same season of life. Our testimonies are similar, so I feel such such a kinship with you. I’m on a sabbatical and I’m able to listen to several podcasts a day. My husband has been in ministry our whole marriage (39 years). The Lord has us church planting a church the last five years with our daughter and SIL and their 3 children. We share a home to save the church $ having two pastors. My husband is a Masters grad in Biblical Counseling. My SIL is a Masters Seminary grad. Needless to say, as the oldest woman in our church, I’m stretched pretty thin. Your resources will be a huge help to me. I’ve been asking the Lord for direction and help to focus on mentoring the ladies who lead small groups. I can see I’ll be able to use your hard work and faithfulness not only in my own life, but those He puts in my care. Thank you for the time and effort you’ve put in to that which He has given you to do. Glory to God, it’s useful and fruitful!!
